FS22: Increased console slots up to 300%
Those looking to play the newest entry to the franchise can rejoice because Farming Simulator 22 will have increased console slots by up to 300%. Regardless of what console they’re playing the game on, players can have considerably more things on their farm at any given time.
What Are Slots?
For those that are unfamiliar with the concept, every tool, vehicle, or item in general on your farm takes up a set number of slots. The capabilities of a system determine the number of available slots. That’s why every PC has a different amount of available slots while there’s a set amount of slots for consoles.
You can upgrade the number of slots on the PC, but that isn’t possible on the console. That’s why the developers have taken matters into their hands by increasing console slots by 300%.
Slot Usage Has Been Reduced
There’s more than just one upgrade to keep in mind. Things are a lot more efficient when it comes to slots.
There aren’t only more of them now. Their usage has been decreased as well. For example, if an item took up a certain amount of slots in previous Farming Simulator games, it’ll take up a lot fewer slots in FS22. This provides even more room to work with.
Slots Have Been Boosted Up to 300%
As shown, FS19 offered players 1299 slots on Xbox One and PS4. On the other hand, Farming Simulator 22 offers 2479 on the very same devices, which is a 100% boost.
The current-gen is a whole new story though. The developers boosted these by 300%, meaning that 5155 slots are available on these platforms. That isn’t the end of it all either!
Slot Usage is Up to 70% More Efficient
The best part is that FS22’s more efficient slot usage makes it possible to place so many more items on your farm. Take, for example, the CLAAS Axion 900 TT. In Farming Simulator 19, this vehicle used up a massive 40 slots. But, in FS22, it’ll take up only a mere 12 slots.
The changes vary depending on the specific item in question though. For example, the Fendt Vario only uses 40% fewer slots. Some machines, tools, and other items benefit from a significant slot requirement reduction, whereas some only get a small but still noticeable reduction. Either way, it’s a helpful change that opens up the door for many new opportunities when playing Farming Simulator 22!
